Kickoff Lecture
Amanda French’s lecture to kick-off THATCamp Southeast will be on Friday March 9 at 4pm in Room 271 in the Special Collections Libraries building.

Donations
Please bring cash or a check for $20 to help defray the cost of THATCamp Southeast 2012. If you need receipts, we will be able to generate them for you. Your donations will help fund breakfast and lunch on Saturday and breakfast Sunday morning. Plus, we plan to keep the coffee going all day long.

Directions
The Zell B. Miller Learning Center is located at 48 Baxter Street in Athens, Georgia at the intersection of Baxter Street and Lumpkin Street.

Detailed directions and parking instructions from:

Atlanta:
From Atlanta (including Hartsfield International Airport):
Take I-85 North to Exit 106, Highway 316 to Athens. Follow Highway 316 to its end (passing Home Depot on your right) and continue straight on Epps Bridge Parkway until it merges into the Atlanta Highway. Follow the Atlanta Highway (which becomes Broad Street) approximately 2.5 miles to Lumpkin Street (one block past the Holiday Inn). Turn right onto Lumpkin Street and travel approximately 1 mile to Baxter Street. The Miller Learning Center is on your left. Turn left into the Tate Center parking lot for hourly pay parking.

From Atlanta on Highway 78:

Follow Highway 78 straight into Athens as it becomes the Atlanta Highway and then Broad Street. From this point, follow the directions above.

From the North:
Take I-85 South to Exit 149, US 441 in Commerce, Georgia. Turn left onto US 441 and travel approximately 20 miles. As you approach Athens you will drive under the Athens Perimeter Loop highway and continue into Athens. At the first traffic signal, turn right onto College Avenue and follow College Avenue until it ends at Broad Street in downtown Athens. Turn right onto Broad Street. Travel one block to Lumpkin Street and turn left onto Lumpkin Street. Travel approximately 1 mile to Baxter Street. The Miller Learning Center is on your left. Turn left into the Tate Center parking lot for hourly pay parking.

From the South (US 441 or Georgia 15)
:
Take US 441 North or Georgia 15 North through Watkinsville, Georgia to Athens. Turn right onto Loop 10 (Athens Perimeter Loop highway). Take the South Milledge Avenue exit. Turn left onto Milledge Avenue and travel to the fourth traffic signal. Turn right onto Lumpkin Street and travel to Baxter Street. The Miller Learning Center is on your right. Turn right into the Tate Center parking lot for hourly pay parking.

From the East (Augusta):
Take I-20 East to Exit 172 in Thomson, Georgia. Turn right onto US 78. Follow US 78 into downtown Athens (Broad Street). You will pass the University of Georgia Arch on your left. The next street is Lumpkin Street. Turn left onto Lumpkin Street and travel approximately 1 mile to Baxter Street. The Miller Learning Center is on your left. Turn left into the Tate Center parking lot for hourly pay parking.

From the West (US 129 Jefferson/Gainesville):
Cross over the Athens Perimeter Loop highway and continue towards downtown Athens. The street name will change to Prince Ave. At the fifth traffic signal turn right onto Milledge Avenue. Continue on Milledge Avenue through two traffic signals. At the third traffic signal (Broad Street) turn left and travel Broad Street to the third traffic signal (Lumpkin Street). Turn right onto to Lumpkin Street and travel approximately 1 mile to Baxter Street. The Miller Learning Center is on your left. Turn left into the Tate Center parking lot for hourly pay parking.

Lodging
We have a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn adjacent to campus for a discounted rate of $94.00 a night for Friday March 9th and Saturday March 10th. There are 10 Standard Rooms with 2 Double Beds and 5 Standard Rooms with King beds. Reservations must be made by February 27, 2012.
